JOB DESCRIPTION FOR STUDENT MINISTER
We, the elders of Little Prairie Christian church, expect the Student Minister to work in conjunction with the ministerial staff and the elders to help LPCC fulfill its purpose and do its part to fulfill the Great Commission. We expect the Student Minister to understand that he/she is accountable to Christ, the Senior Minister and the Elders in taking on the task of student development, disciple making and administration of ministry to those who are Jr. High, High School and College age.

Overall, the Student Minister is expected to guide our students by…
…setting a Christlike example in every aspect of ministry.
…working toward developing students into Christ followers, instructing them to have an intimate faith of their own, so that they lead others to Christ.

Specifically, the Student Minister is to:
1. Oversee and facilitate small groups, discipleship groups, Bible studies and/or other spiritual growth opportunities for Jr. High, High School and College age students.
2. Oversee and facilitate Jr. High, High School and College age functions, programs, mission trips and conferences with the Youth Ministry Team.
3. Oversee and facilitate recruitment and training of volunteers to serve Jr. High, High School and College age.
4. Work with the Christian Education Team on curriculum and Sunday School for Jr. High and High School age.
5. Promote and partner with Oil Belt Christian Service Camp.
6. Promote Christian colleges and campus ministries.

Office Expectations:
1. The Student Minister is to work at least 40 hours per week. These hours should be accumulated in the following ways: office work, leading Bible studies/small groups, pastoring students, etc.
2. Be willing to assume the responsibilities of the Senior Minister (such as preaching, hospital visits, pastoral visits and evangelistic visits, etc.) in the event that he is out of town or ill.
3. Provide a written report to the Elders of monthly activities and upcoming events at the monthly Elders’ meeting.
4. It is expected that the ministerial staff will work together to coordinate activities and the various visits (evangelistic, hospital and pastoral) that need to be made.
5. Weekly days off will be coordinated with the Preaching Minister. With this in mind, we, the elders of Little Prairie Christian Church, in turn pledge our prayerful and whole-hearted support and cooperation in the accomplishment of the task to which God has placed before you.
