WEDDING  AGREEMENTS

Little Prairie Christian Church Wedding Agreement
Active Member (attends at least 1 Sunday per month for a year)


We, the undersigned, do hereby agree to the following conditions:
1.         Sincerely examine our relationship with one another in light of God’s Word by loving and submitting to one another and by abstaining from sexual activity until the wedding night (1  Corinthians 13:4-8; Ephesians 5:21;  Hebrews 13:4).
2.        Attend 4 pre-marital counseling sessions with an LPCC minister, if one is officiating.
3.        Communicate with the guests and the wedding party that smoking is strictly prohibited in the church building, and  that, while smoking is allowed outside, smoker must stay 100 feet from  entrances and keep the church grounds neat.  Failure to comply with indoor rules will result in immediate forfeiture of the deposit, and may result in immediate cancellation of the wedding  ceremony.
4.       Communicate with the guests and the wedding party that alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited anywhere on the church grounds.  Failure to comply will result in immediate forfeiture of the deposit, and may result in the immediate cancellation of the wedding ceremony.
5.        Communicate with the LPCC Facilities Liaison regarding dates and times to be in the building; temperature settings; available rooms, etc.  The only rooms available for dressing areas are the Young Adult Sunday School  classroom for the bridal party and the Jr. High classroom for the groomsmen.
6.        Pay wedding fees as follows (checks will be held until after the ceremony):
            a.    $100 *refundable* deposit is required to set the date on the church calendar.
            b.    Due to the extra preparation involved (counseling, sermon, etc.) there is a $150 Minister fee.  The check is to be made out to the LPCC minister who officiates and is to be submitted at  the rehearsal.
            c.     Due to the extra clean-up involved there is a $100 Custodial/Liaison fee.  Check is to be made payable to the custodian, and is to be submitted to the church office 30 days prior to the  wedding.
            d.    Sound and media systems are available for use; however, LPCC technicians are the only people authorized to use these systems.  You are required to contact a person(s) from the list  provided, then contact the church  office with the technicians’ names.  A gift of kindness to the technician(s) and musicians is suggested for their generosity in serving you on your  wedding  day and at your rehearsal.
7.       Miscellaneous Information:  The wedding party is responsible for set-up and clean-up and must restore the church building exactly as it was found prior to the wedding/reception decorating.  The greenery in front of the baptistery and in the foyers is not to be removed. No stage equipment or furniture may be moved without the consent of the staff , and an LPCC musician must  be present to remove it and set it back up. When candles are used, please use wax paper beneath the candles to prevent drip damage.  All wedding items must be removed by the wedding party or a representative thereof, prior to leaving for an off-site reception.  For on-site receptions, the Worship Center must be cleared of wedding items within 2 hours after the wedding ceremony.  Clean-up of the reception must be completed by 10   pm.  Minor children are not to be left unattended in any area of the church building during decorating, ceremony, or clean-up.  Rice and birdseed are not allowed to be used.  No food shall be taken out of the Family Life Center. The wedding party will assume 100% of the responsibility for any major damages to the church property by paying for said damages.  Failure to do the above things will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
