Little Prairie Christian Church Wedding Agreement

We, the undersigned, do hereby agree to the following conditions:
1.         Sincerely examine our relationship with one another in light of God’s Word by loving and submitting to one another and by abstaining from sexual activity until the wedding night.  (1 Corinthians 13:4-8; Ephesians 5:21-33; Hebrews 13:4)
2.         Attend 4 pre-marital counseling sessions, if an LPCC minister is officiating.
3.         Communicate with the guests and the wedding party that smoking is strictly prohibited in the church  building, and that, while smoking is allowed outside, smokers must stay 100 feet from entrances and keep     the church grounds neat.  Failure to comply with indoor rules will result in immediate forfeiture of the  deposit, and may result in immediate cancellation of the wedding ceremony.
4.         Communicate with the guests and the wedding party that alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited  anywhere on the church grounds.  Failure to comply will result in immediate forfeiture of the deposit, and may result in the immediate cancellation of the wedding ceremony.
5.         Communicate with the LPCC Facilities Liaison regarding dates and times to be in the building; temperature  settings; available rooms; etc. The Liaison or a staff member will have to be present when you are in the  building. There is a 12 hour limit for building use on the wedding day.
6.         Pay wedding fees as follows (checks will be held until after the ceremony):
  1. $500 *refundable* deposit is required to set the date on the church calendar. The deposit is non-refundable if the conditions of #7 are not met.
  1. The custodial fee is $150. Checks made payable to the custodian are due 30 days prior to the wedding.
  1. $10 per hour fee to the Facilities Liaison for the amount of time you are in the building on the wedding day (until end of wedding or reception). This fee is due when you leave the building that day.
  1. $300 for the minister (check payable to the minister who officiates) is due at the rehearsal.
  1. $50 for an LPCC media technician (if used).  Sound and media systems are available for use; however, LPCC technicians are the only people authorized to use these systems.  You are asked to contact a person from the list provided, then contact the church office with the technician’s name.  These fees are to be paid to the technicians at the wedding rehearsal.
7.   Miscellaneous Information:  The wedding party is responsible for set-up and clean-up and must restore the church building exactly as it was found prior to wedding/reception decorating.  The greenery in front of the baptistery and in the foyers is not to be removed. No stage equipment or furniture may be moved without the consent of the staff , and an LPCC musician must be present to remove it and set it back up. When candles are used, please use wax paper beneath the candles to prevent drip damage.  All wedding items must be removed by the wedding party, or a representative thereof, prior to leaving for an off-site reception.  For on-site receptions, the Worship Center must be cleared of wedding items 2 hours after the wedding ceremony.  Clean-up of the reception must be completed by 9 pm.  Minor children are not to be left unattended in any area of the church building during decorating, ceremony, or clean-up.  Rice and birdseed are not allowed to be used.  No food shall be taken out of the Family Life Center to other parts of the building.  The wedding party will assume 100% of the responsibility for any major damages to the church property by paying for said damages. Failure to do the above things will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
